"Start writing, no matter what. The water does not flow until the faucet is turned on."

-Louis L'Amour

Why Writing Coaching?

I stumbled into writing coaching quite accidentally. I was working with a writing client, who I was working with to co-write a novel when he asked me to coach him to write the full novel himself. I had just finished a coach-training program, but I had never considered combining my new coaching skills with my love for writing.

I took him on as a coaching client, and within a few weeks he was writing the novel completely on his own! A few months later, he finished the first novel and began his second. Watching him grow and develop into a talented and authentic writer was a gift for both of us, and quickly became one of my most popular services.

I am currently an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation, and I've been working with writers on writing projects from fiction novels to dissertations for over five years.

"Be an unstoppable force. Write with an imaginary machete strapped to your thigh. This is not wishy-washy, polite, drinking-tea-with-your-pinkie-sticking-out stuff. It's who you want to be, your most powerful self. Write your books. Finish them, then make them better. Find the way. No one will make this dream come true for you but you."

Why Wedding Writing?

Brides at the Alter

My wedding writing journey began very much the same as my writing coaching journey. A close friend of mine was struggling to put his vows together and reached out to me for some advice. When we got together, I tapped into my coaching skills to ask deep, meaningful questions about his relationship with his fiancé.  After an hour of chatting, we were able to put together a beautifully-written and authentic set of vows both he and his new wife absolutely loved.

Knowing how much I enjoyed the process, he encouraged me to offer these services to others. More than two years and over 50 sets of vows later, I have built a robust system for helping couples and their loved ones craft vows and wedding speeches that will go down in their memory banks!

When Passion Finds You

When I started my writing journey more than a decade ago, neither writing coaching nor vow writing was even a thought in my mind, let alone desired areas of specialization. As you'll see below, through the very winding path that is my writing career, both of these passions arrived at my doorstep, eager for me to take them in and nurture them into what they are today.

While I didn't necessarily set out to be a writing coach, developmental editor, or wedding writer, these roles have quickly become a huge part of who I am today. Each new client I work with offers me a new perspective on writing and on life in general. Working through any piece of writing, whether a novel or a short set of vows, is a deeply personal experience. I find that writing is one of the most intimate ways we can express all of who we are to the people and world around us, and getting to be a part of that journey makes me feel like more than a coach or a writer. My clients make me feel at home. And I do my best to return that favor.

When you walk away from a coaching, editing, or vow writing journey with me, you walk away with someone who will support you and your writing for as long as you'll include me in your process.

My Mission

Ernest Hemingway once said, "There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed."

I agree with the bleeding part. Often, writing feels like pouring a piece of yourself onto a blank page and hoping you don't dry up before the story ends. It's the "nothing to it" part that I am not quite sure I agree with.

It is my mission to help other writers find their voices and feel confident sharing them with the world. As a certified Life Coach, I specialize in working with aspiring authors and young writers to create a world in which every writer finds value in the beauty of their own stories.

I have worked with writers of all ages and on projects across a variety of genres. My services include coaching, developmental editing, and wedding writing, and I have maintained a 5-star writing business on Fiverr for the past four years.

I'd love to help you bring your story to life!
